Lockdown learning in Mantsonyane

I am a teacher in the project of Connecting Classrooms between Wales and Lesotho's schools under the concept of climate change and soil erosion ...I am connected to QE high school in Wales, my connected partner is Melaine Killingsworth.

Here is a recent video they have sent us:

What have you learnt from your recent online training with the British Council?

I have learnt that the International learning is very significant as we are going to learn the different cultures and also going to share experiences to our partner schools in Wales and really our learners are going to benefit a lot due to new teaching skills and techniques teachers acquired from other people in international learning. I have learnt also that the rights of learners are taken in to consideration while teaching and learning takes place so there will be the curriculum, learning materials to support their learning hence learners will benefit a lot...I am really happy about these workshops done for us "Basotho" we learn new things every moment...thank u.

I have learnt that in partnership all partners should put their effort to ensure that there is good communication....there should be set criteria of what, how and when to teach learners the certain topic. We are going to come up with solutions together during problem encountering so this says that all learners will benefit and also the community will benefit as plantation of trees is going to take place in my school.

From last week session I learnt about the Core skills, it is very important to equip our learners with core skills before or during teaching and learning process so that they become important citizens. I have discovered that in the upcoming years , technology is going to rule the world in the sense that almost everything in teaching and learning will be done using technology. I think it would be wise to make other teachers aware that the core skills are very important and we should help our learners to be able to use technology. Hence our Ministry of Education should provide schools with some computers so as for learners to be able to learn about them.
