Here you can learn about the work that Dolen Cymru does in the health field in Lesotho.

The health needs of Lesotho are huge – with 23% of the population suffering with HIV/AIDS, TB rates are very high with increasing multi-resistant strains and there is a growing public health risk with diabetes. With such statistics Dolen Cymru’s health work can really make a difference.  Our work has encompassed mental health training, medical student electives, bilateral health placements, and developing a HIV/AIDS programme.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board has a link with Quthing Hospital and Quthing District Health Team sealed with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in Lesotho. Ideas flow in both directions!

A new link between the National Health Training College and Bangor University's School of Healthcare Sciences will bring together students and lecturers to share expertise from both countries.
